P-47D-30RE Thunderbolt - MiniArt 48023 (Basic Kit) - 1/48 - Full Build

Full build of MiniArt 1/48 P-47D-30RE Basic Kit.

They call this kit 'basic' but it comes with a highly detailed cockpit and rivet detail on both the fuselage and wings at a level I haven't seen on any other model I've built. The rivets add an extra level of realism that I didn't realise I was missing.

I didn't like having to add the sticky out breakable bits at an early stage i.e. guns and aerial, they are likely to be broken off and they were. The multipart cowling is a bit tricky but I guess that is the price of having all those rivets.
