Grumman F-14D Tomcat - Tamiya 61118 - 1/48 - Full Build

This is a Black Lions VF-213 Squadron Tamiya F-14D Grumman Tomcat in 1/48 scale. This model is molded in tan plastic. The panel lines are recessed. The kit features sweep wings, with two sets of plates for open or sweep. The rear stabilizers move up and down. The canopy can be displayed open or closed. The steps into the jet can be open or closed up as well. The kit comes with detailed instructions and full scale color squadron booklets for decal markings. There are a total of four different squadrons that can be built. I used tamiya acrylic paints as well as a badger patriot 105 airbrush. At the end, I heavily weathered the model for a more flown out at sea look.
