P-38J Lightning Richard Bong’s 'Marge' - Tamiya 61123 - 1/48 – Full Build

The Lockheed P-38J Lightning was one of the most distinctive fighters of World War II, and in the Pacific it became a legend in the hands of America’s top ace, Major Richard Bong. This video showcases my finished Tamiya 1/48 P-38J, painted in the markings of Bong’s famous aircraft 'Marge', featuring its natural metal finish and weathering inspired by historical photos.

Through this build, I not only share techniques and paints used in the process, but also honor Richard Bong and all the brave pilots who flew the Lightning in combat under the harsh conditions of the Pacific theater.
