North American P-51D Mustang - Tamiya 61040 - 1/48 - Build and Review

The North American P-51D Mustang would become one of the most famous fighter aircraft of the Second World War. Originally designed to meet the needs of the RAF, following upgrades of the engine to a Rolls Royce Merlin it would prove to be a excellent long-range fighter.

It would see service with a variety of allied forces in a number of theatres during that conflict, and would remain in service for quite some time before eventually being replaced in service by more advanced jet designs.
